Where can I find original style lug nuts for early style (1969-1974) Chrysler Road Wheels?

ALSO look for a lug nut socket which is "lined" or has reliefs molded into each of the "peaks" around the edge of the lug nuts. So the socket does not contact those peaks and ultimately crack the chrome. When the chrome cracks, it rusts and the edges get to be almost surgical-grade cutters, by observation.
There are MANY aftermarket chrome lug nuts which are "close match". Plus getting a set with the correct tightening rotation orientation for your vehicle!

Go to Summit Racing. Thery have many of different sizes and shapes. I just bought some for my '70 Newport.

I have bought a lot of stuff from
YearOne, Mancini, and eBay, and I am well aware of Classic Industries, as well as numerous small time Mopar parts vendors that have parts for C-Bodies. However, the Chrysler Road Wheels are special items, and I would just like to know if someone has specific knowledge as to the lug nut that goes with them.

Are you sure that the Road Wheel lug nuts are specific to them? I looked in the '70/71 parts manual and #2823848 for the rights and #2823849 for the lefts looks like the part number for the Rallye and Road Wheels.

No, I wasn’t sure, but I had a gut feeling that they just might be specific. And since so many of us drove with Road Wheels in their cars, I figured that someone just might have the information right off their memory.

Did a search with the Lug Nut Guys search engine… zero results.
Also did a search on Gorilla. I got this:

I have lug nuts from the Lug Nut Guys on 2 cars. Nice quality, but the hex is larger, which means the stock lug wrench won't fit. I carry a 4-way lug wrench so that doesn't matter to me. The "cone" is larger too, which I really like as 50+ year old wheels tend to have the lug chamfers beat up from years of over-tightening.

In 1967 and 1968, all chrome lug nuts, except A-bodies, were part numbers 2823848 (right) and 2823849 (left), for the Class 2 styled wheels (five-spoke). A-bodies used a smaller 7/16"-20 thread. The other body lines used a 1/2"-20 thread.
In 1969, all 1/2"-20 chrome lug nuts were part numbers 2823848 (right) and 2823849 (left), including the Class 2 styled wheels (five-spoke) and the 440 Six Pack Superbee and 440 Six Barrel Road Runner.with black steel wheels.
In 1970, all 1/2"-20 chrome lug nuts were part numbers 2823848 (right) and 2823849 (left), including the Class 1 styled wheels (Rallye), the Class 2 styled wheels (five-spoke), and the C-body Class 2 styled 16-slot wheels (part number 2944394).
In 1971, all lug nuts were right hand thread and 1/2"-20 chrome lug nut part number 2823848 was used on both sides for the Class 1 styled wheels (Rallye), the Class 2 styled wheels (five-spoke). The C-body Class 2 styled 16-slot wheels (part number 3461061) used lug nut part number 3461218.
In 1972, 1/2"-20 chrome lug nut part number 2823848 was used for the Class 1 styled wheels (Rallye), the Class 2 styled wheels (five-spoke). The C-body Class 2 styled 16-slot wheels used lug nut part number 3461218 through February 1972. After February 1972, 3580134 was used.
In 1973, 1/2"-20 chrome lug nut part number 2823848 was still used for the Class 1 styled wheels (Rallye), the Class 2 styled wheels (five-spoke). The C-body Class 2 styled 16-slot wheels used lug nut part number 3580134.
In 1974, the 1/2"-20 chrome lug nut part number changed to 3580286 for the Class 1 styled wheels (Rallye), the Class 2 styled wheels (five-spoke). The C-body Class 2 styled wheels 16-slots continued to use lug nut part number 3580134. The C-body Class 2 styled 16-slot wheels were now available on B-bodies.
In 1975 and 1976, the chrome lug nut numbers and applications remained the same as 1974. The Class 2 styled 16-slot wheel dome cap changed to a different style.
In 1977 and 1978, chrome lug nut part number 3580134 was used in all applications with chrome lug nuts.
In 1979, the chrome lug nut was replaced by a stainless steel capped lug nut, part number 6031535, which remained in use through the 1980s and beyond in some applications.
The 3461218 and 3580134 lug nuts are slightly shorter than the 3580286 which is slightly shorter than the 2823848 lug nut. A comparison diagram from the 1976 service manual shows the difference between 3580134 and 3580286:
Many aftermarket chrome lug nuts are available including the bulge style which can compensate for mounting hole/cone wear, some in a 3/4" hex, or a larger hex 13/16" style. The 13/16" hex size nuts can have a tool clearance issue in some center domes/caps. Dorman makes some 3/4" hex replacement nuts, although they are styled differently, such as the number 611-094, or the shorter solid chrome replacement for the stainless steel capped nut, number 611-091.
