Looking for Real World experience.

B Lowdeck, 67 Fury.

Currently running an 8008 Weiand and want to change to an Eddy RPM. Has anyone done it and is there clearance? Figured I'd ask before buying one and finding out the hard way its a "no go"

I have one on my 67 Coronet 383 and it clears with a small drop down air cleaner. I would assume a Fury would have more clearance.

Looks like RPM (Air Gap) is about 1.5" taller. Put some Play Doh (tm) on top of the air cleaner and close hood. that will tell you how much clearance you have.

Using that same information in Summit for the normal Performer intake can nail down the difference quite easily. Edelbrock used to have graphics of intake height in their catalogs and website for their various intake manifolds.

See my post#23 i list part numbers, no need to reinvent the wheel, although, as mentioned my car is a 66 new yorker. It is very tight.

512 Build, deciding on intake and carb manufacturer
thanks for that. so it's possible, the drop base will be interesting since I have a Sniper 2 on it. might be some creative plumbing or metal working on the base.......screw it. I'm ordering up the intake and will see how this goes.

I think you will be fine. I was very worried with my 67 Coronet but it is fine.

I have a stroker in my 1967 Dodge Polara 500 convertible with the sniper 2 and RPM intake and I purchased a 1inch drop base with the correct throat size which was only about 15 inches in diameter and placed it on top of my old original air cleaner base, which was about 18 inches in diameter, traced the outer diameter of the drop base and cut the original air cleaner base and welded the drop base to the original outer ring so I could still use my dual snorkel air cleaner. I have plenty of room for hood clearance and still have a stock appearance.
