This is the new hogs head I'm putting in, same ratio gears and in very good condition, it is also a 489 case, strongest one to have. The old one is a 742 case.

I believe 489's didn't come out until 1970.

Every 69 I've owned, (several), had a 489 case. Only difference is a slightly larger pinion shaft diameter.
I'll see what I can find out, curious now.

So the new diff center is in plus new universal joint. I put new feet on the car too. Runs smooth again!
