Just a question, but did all '66 Fury wagons had a sure grip, or was it an option? I was very surprised when we changed the clutch to see my car has a sure grip rear:rolleyes:
I have since checked my Certicard, and it has `SG printed...

As mentioned,optional and available on 2.76,2.94,and 3.23. 3.55 and 3.91 ratios.
Most wagons came with the 3.23 gears especially when standard trans equipped.

While sure grips were optional it's been my experience that wagons did seem to have a much higher percentage of them than non wagons. Maybe for towing reasons.

Mines a three on the tree, was sent to South Africa to serve as a hearse in those days....
I only have the certicard and vin tag, no buildsheet

Cbarge, it has done 92 K mile in all the years, mostly in 1st gear:), as it served as a hearse al of its life. Was never butchered, has zero rust.
Was a white car, painted black way back. it serves as my daily here.I just love driving it. Poly, with a CP 4 barrel intake and carb
I'll do some pics on the 'Wagons' section soon
