We all have done this? Weren't lookin and something fell in your lap. Fair price and you know the seller, and you can lay your own eyes on it.

1968 Ford F100. One owner since new. Straight, original as can be, lotsa patina (not really into that look) and very little rust (pass. side, lower corner of cab, needs some metal but all else solid (wood in bed is gone/replaced over the years).

Factory black, 360-V8, 3 speed manual, a basic work truck, and still has heat pipe on aircleaner snorkel. EZ resto

ain't many long-bed flare-side 52 year old Ford pickups at cruise night. :)

    dave.

everything bought since 2017 will find new homes, except bus, within five years. i have moved from "saving & hoarding"" to "saving & releasing" given my personal odo tickin' off the years.

next ten years after that, down to 10 - 12 sleds following the hearse :)

A while back, a friend bought his Dad's F-100 Ranger. A nice truck, two-tone paint, wheel covers, 360 V-8, etc. Being a "hot rodder", he had to put headers on it himself. Looked like they'd just "fall into place". WRONG!!! He finally got them on. Everybody who'd done it before advised him "not to", but he did it anyway. Looked like there was plenty of room. When done, he said "Never again". But it was better than the stock manifolds.

Another friend used to run a Firestone store. The normal way to do the alignment is to bent the twin I-beam axles. He noticed that they all had sagged from springs, with a lower ride height in the front. New springs had their cost and such issues. He put some load leveler shocks on the front, raised the front end, and the alignment usually needed just a tow-in adjustment. His customers were pleased.

Neat truckx, neat find, good investments.

    Enjoy!
