Old Man with a Hat
the 680 freeway at Pleasanton around 9:40 and lo and behold I see a restored 1962 Pontiac Tempest in the slow lane. With my attention focused on it as I pass by I quickly come next to a restored 1957 Tbird. Ok, a small caravan. Since they are moving at 60 mph I leave them behind.
Then farther up the rode I spot a set a well known tail fins in the distance. It is a restored Forward Look car. Have to wait to get closer only the tail lights throw me. I'm no expert of these cars. As I pass down the side of the car I see in gold script New Yorker. Yet tonight I can't find the correct New Yorker with those small horizontal red lights at the bottom of the fins.
Anyway this was a treat since I have never seen any Forward Look car out on the open road while it has been maybe 40 years since seeing a 1962 Tempest. Tbirds I see all the time.
