This car was a Sox & Martin team car. The story I got is Herb broke a wheelie bar on the burn out. Buddy Martin went over & checked it. Saw he had no time to fix it so he told Herb to let it rip. I believe he was against Grumpy Jenkins on this pass

Take a look at the pics in These galleries. Early years of drag racing in Germany cultivated by US soldiers at first taking place at Military airfields like Ramstein or Sembach, maybe 78 NYB Bob's in one of the pics. ;)

That was an IHRA car. Formula 2 CHR. 383 Tunnel ram and roller cam.
4-speed with 5.57 Dana 60. Just 11.0's. Note: Don Carlton's Mopar Missile
was being campaigned at that same time.
