a friend of mine is moving out of state. I'm helping him clean out his shop. He has this intake & asked me to make him an offer on it so he won't have to pack it up. He can't find the small parts. Says he has them. He thinks. Just the cross over tubes so far. So what would be a fair price to offer him. I want him to stay my friend so I need a fair price.

I bought a set without the crossover tube or linkage for $400 once. That's somewhere to start I guess.

I'm not sure, but isn't there a long-ram, and a short-ram intake like those ? I think the short-ram is rarer. I believe it has to do with the length of the internal divider.

I assume you both have at least a general idea what a partial set and complete set would go for on ebay or forums

I'd just tell him exactly what you said above and ask him to set two prices that HE can live with - one with everything and one with just what is there now. Pay the lower price if you can and the higher price if he finds the rest ... if you can.

If the he finds everything price is to high for you tell him you can't afford it or can't justify it whichever is appropriate and don't buy them at the lower price either or buy them but be prepared to swap them back if he finds the other stuff. He can then sell them elsewhere.
