i see enough "knick knack" stuff (colors/trim, etc) to remind me of Foxes. i am admittedly am not/never was a Mustang guy after 1969, so i am easy to bamboozle..
"No way' architecture of a 40 year old design (necessary to get a more reminiscent shape) could come outta a modern set of presses, dies, jigs & fixtures, etc ... let alone weight, collision performance, fuel economy/aerodynamics .. to modern requirements to ever make any money.
Stated another way, a car rolling off the line today is of couse built with same overall kinds of equipement as 50 years ago ... but 1,000 things about TODAY's vehicle CANNOT be done with tweaks to TODAY's men/materiel WITHOUT HUGE $$$$ in time/moeny (too much [under the skin] about the vehicle itself is different -- no sane OEM would make tthat investment to maybe sell/service 15 years for only 15,000 cars).
to my knowledge of car building, a worthy effort. car still says "mustang"... same way modern reboots of challenger/ charger did (or GM with Camaro) ... only so far they could go with modern manufacturing systems/necessities for 40 year old body-in-white/plan views -- and have a chance at platform profits.
guess market will decide how well these Dearborn cats did on this improvised Fox 'Stang throwback.
i still think respectable effort at nostalgia. and i am still gonna spin one around the block this year.
