granted i didn't really need to tape it off so early in the process, but i did it anyways

metal is thin...

the rust treatment melts the plastic cup O_O lol

thanks to this video i totally didn't know about denting the rust holes #thumbsup


used short hair bondo

used jb-weld to fill in the seams

ran out of time to put a lick of paint on

just doing one spot at a time going to enjoy doing this body work thing

found the leak to my trunk around the lower rear window/trimings

i know it's not much to look at.

first goal for my body work is to stop the trunk leak and that leak also answers my question on how water got into the cabin and rusted out one of the rear channels for the back seat frame and some of the lower seat frame :-\ but that's good to know at least

i'm going for 'eh close enough for the color. got a rattle can from amazon whatever lexus/toyota color it is.

I need to post a pic of it finished once I drop it down from the lift.
After the initial flub, I did a more precision job of patching in pc. #2, tacking it in and letting a real (lol) welder finish it up.

i know it's only a temp fix until i can get parts for it... right now i have to save money for some life changes coming up in my life and having some one else doing the body work isn't in the budget atm... i am enjoy the hell out of my car and having tons of fun :-D
