1971 Plymouth Fury tire question

Hey guys, got a question for you all. Right now my 71' Plymouth has new tires on it, but once I get the car to look more presentable I plan on trying to get a more vintage look. I have a 4 door Gran Coupe (silly name since it really is not a coupe). No, it is not a muscle car with that 360 in it, but I really like the Polyglass 70 tires.

I heard someone say these sedans originally had white wall from the factory, can anybody verify that statement?

Would Black Polyglass tires work for a 1971 Plymouth fury, I like the all black with white lettering. Was this an option for 71'.

Most likley a stupid question and no I have not looked in the FSM, dont think there is much information on tires.

Thanks

Jon

Sport Fury got Whitewalls, GTs had RWL. From the brochure:

Do you think the 4 door model would look stupid with black walls?

It depends on what you're after for a "look" to your car. If you're after a stock resto, then you need whitewalls in my opinion. In my opinion, a low rung Fury I would look okay without whitewalls, whereas the more posh Sport Fury needs them...that's how it was. The car needs to make you happy, though.
