To all of you that responded to a thread I started a week ago about losing my best buddy 'Diesel' I want to thank you.... Your words of encouragement and your own stories of your pups eased my pain and feelings of loss.

That's partly why we're here. This group loves our dogs! We watched "Pete's Dragon" last night on Netflix and the dragon reminded me of Duesenberg, my Dane that passed 3 years ago now and I about lost it. It gets easier but he'll always have a large place in my heart.

Glad we could help you through a difficult time. And when the time is right and if you decide to look for a new best friend I hope you consider adopting from your local animal shelter. For me knowing I saved a dog from certain death seems to make the bonding process easier. Maybe it's my imagination but the dog acts like he knows what you rescued him from.
