The End of an Era

Yesterday the property and contents of 1100 Harrisburg Pike was up for auction. I initially forgot abt it then ran down for maybe 20 mins,before i had to go to work. Could not get a good pic of the outside with the tent up but i did take a few of the contents. For those familiar with Carlisle this is the old garage on RT 11 by the Sheetz just north of town. I was also lucky enough to bid and win on his dealer plates from '74, '75 and '76.

I have one of those GE Bulb cabinets. It is next to the the Anco Rain master box.

I'm familiar with the garage just from going to Carlisle every July for the last 11 years. I always liked those old shops and service stations, wondered about the guys who worked there and how many changes in the cars and trucks those places saw in their lifetime.

Damn, those floor jacks! I have an awesome old floor jack that was my Grandfathers but it seems the hydraulics are leaking. Got to get around to fixing that one.

I remember that building. I think it would of been cool to get that old car dealership too.
