This is so cool....

Those are kool and that looks like a great project!

My first Mopar was a 62 Fury, red on red. Bought in 64.

I love the style but they have unique and tough to locate parts. Expensive to restore.
No 383's in 62 Plymouths. Floor has been cut for a shifter, It's worth $1500.00 .... then just fix it up and drive it.

Every now and again some old Mopar (whether it be cool or not cool) finds it's way out of Jackson township and the surrounding area..that's the beginning of the Jersey Pine barrens.....lots of things still hidden out in those woods.

In three years that car will be going across the Mecum stage as a $100,000.00 Max Wedge "tribute".

Interesting car.

It would be even more interesting to see what the original engine should be.... There's some drag racing history in this car, evidenced by the Cragar Supertrick wheels and the automatic floor shifter.

343hp 383? I know that was a 62 Dodge combo and I think there was a Plymouth equivalent.

Looks like everything is there for the most part. Side trim missing though. I was thinking 1500 to 2000 myself. I love it's lines and imagine it black on black! Holy ****, that would be badass!!

It is interesting that the dodge offered the 383 as an option in 62, but the Plymouth did not.
The engine line up for plymouth in 62 was the slant 6, (225 CID), the 318 2BBl or 318 power pack with 4 BBL, special cam & dual exhaust, (last year for that). The 361 HP 305 Horse, (Golden Commando) and the Max wedge 413, (415 and 425 HP versions).
All engines were avaliable in all body styles except the 225 six in the Sport Fury, (std 318).

I once owned a 62 Fury with the 361, 305 Horse Golden Commando engine, 3sp manual column shift T-85 trans, and 3:23 sure grip. The car was bone stock and bad *** ...... Kind of the predessor to the Road Runner.
