Thread for Craigslist morons

I'm jumping in and saying this vehicle is indeed historical and needs to be kept from going to the crusher or stopped from returning to the earth.
It would have to come from a benevolent donor because nobody would buy that even at hundred bucks.

AaaYep Mab'be Elon will store it in outer space.

Speek'in Of 'leccy cars, anyone seen on the newz today the Tesla that went smoke to flames to BOOM in China?

I see the $5 Craigslist charge has really thinned out the listings. I typed in Accord up to 1993 and usually would get dozens only this time I got seven. Dodge only turned up nine searching local and outside areas. Chrysler and Plymouth just one each in Northern California and the Chrysler was an 83 LeBaron. Just might make morons extinct... Nah...

BAH! I don't see much of a difference, tire ad spam is still there when I search Plymouth Fury (King of the keyword jackasses) and they are paid dealer ads so don't expect much there.
Junk car ad has fallen off since the 12th but those get posted in waves.

Keyword Jackasses really need to be shot.

It is quite dramatic here. Owner 1993 Chevrolet and older nets just 24. Ford nets 63 interestingly. Total cars under 1993 and older only 338 when it used to be close to 1000 last week. Credit card is needed to place ad.

Nothings changed, I just found plenty in the Ohio, Dallas, Nebraska etc area's for the junk cars dated after April 15th. long long long list of keywords, everything under the sun from Shark vacuum to sport teams. scheeech.

I just called the 866 number for the ad as google showed nothing but all the CL ads.

They are based in Austin TX, seems to be just some clearing house, you call them, they find a scrapyard local to you to take it away, don't know how they make the monies.
When I called I told them I had 100 cars, all with no wheels, and questioned why they would tow them all to Austin TX from Florida. Confused she transferred me to her supervisor.

I berated her for spamming & key wording nationwide in violation of Craigslist TOS, said expect a call from the CL Police next. heh.

"Bidding starts at $100,000, with increasing bids only accepted in $5000 increments."

Ah don kno'bout you but putting a auction in the for sale section on CL is moronic if not a scam. Tip: High $$$$$ items don't do well on Craigslist, I think in most states you need a license to run a auction, right? SCAM. Trying to beat out Mecum & Barrett Jackson, on transportation costs & fees is a sure way to fail.

'USPS' if this is a scam you don't want them to get involved, email counts too these days I think.

Didn’t even get the year right... I can see mistaking a 65 for a 66 or vice versa in those weeds but I could tell a 64 from a 65 at the bottom of the ocean.

Only number I see is an 814 area code

Yea in googling the 800 number I find it's registered to a 74 year old guy in that local area, the street address hasn't been gone by with the google car yet and the satellite view shows a shack.

Further searching showed it's spammed on FaceBook with only one comment of "Hmmmmmm".

Arrrrrrg Faceboob site.

Screenies of FB post (best I can do)

1967 Chrysler Newport. 67k original miles. From Tennessee- great body condition, even underneath. 383 motor, runs great! After I bought it, I fixed up the body and put money into tuning up the engine and parts! Unfortunately I can’t afford to keep up with her. Only thing the Newport needs are new seats. 8,000 obo, willing to trade.
