Well what started as a cracked exhaust manifold has now evolved into a new engine/transmission overhaul, AC/heater rebuild and steering overhaul. Don’t ask.
I understand the 1965 tilt column is GM. (I would love to know how many martinis were involved by all the screws installed inside/out?!??) Does anyone know how much GM provided? I.E. just the shaft/joint mechanism or the entire assembly including tube? I am
looking for bearings. The top has two tapered bearings at the wheel with a sealed bearing at the base end in the engine compartment. I am drawing blanks on my searches. I can probably survive on current ones but with all the effort to disassemble (see note above about martini lunches), I am a bit OCD on restoration, would like to replace. Any direction or insight is greatly appreciated!
