World Famous Barge in a Budget
I work at a tire shop.....
Certain years of Caravans (Town & Country's) run a different frequency in their tpms system so some multi-fit sensors will not work in those vans.
The Dorman metal valve stem sensor do not work on Chrysler products.
Period.
The Schrader 33500M which is a rubber valve stem does work but does need to be woke up and programmed to the van.
O.E. sensors just need to be awakened. Drive to reset TPMS from there.
Our shop does have the Schrader TPMS scanner/programmer.
All shops should have some type of sensor programmer.
Glad you managed to replace the service kit only.
From my experience, you will end up replacing the metal stems as they do corrode, age and crack.
Given our crazy Canuck climate,We do replace the sensors with the newer style rubber valve stems ones and be done with it.
