Trim my tips??

If they were mine.....I don't think I would want the tips trimmed, I would rather they just ended about an inch or so more under the car. Meaning I think the tailpipes need shortened, the turndowns like fine.

I agree but otherwise your car is perfect!

One other thing to consider is the further under the car they are the louder it will be inside the car.

I thought about that. The picture shows the turndowns push as far in as possible. If I trim 1 1/2" off the tailpipe it will make the end about even with the bumper edge, but I can still get them this far out again if necessary as there is a about a 4" overlap onto the tailpipe. Might have to do trial and error to find the sweet spot.

My original to the car single exhaust was concealed under the bumper and I had the duals cut the same way. IMO, our cars were more of a luxury purchase when new and the "hot rod" look of exposed tips doesn't suit them very well.

My GTO, however is a Muscle Car and one of the must haves for a Muscle Car are exposed exhaust tips. Mine has the factory splitters exiting behind the rear tires.
