Just an unsolicited update on a longer project - the Windsor to 300 clone project.

Trying to keep it 'in the family' Mopar family that is, my next stunt is to try to add in 12V alternator and PS pump.

Originally the car came with a 6V system, a combination 6V generator and power steering pump on the same shaft.
Stock 4 grooves on 2 pulleys around the water pump, a double on the crank and on the multi-unit gen/PS.
There was an idler pulley to make tension.
I've made the decision to make it 12V. So this weekend, we will try to hook up the alternator to the passenger side of the motor.
Also, I'd like to see if one of the older Mopar PS pumps can be finagled on the driver's side.

First photo is a 'before' with un-rebuilt hemi - and polysphere in place.

I'd like to get the motor started this spring.

Best regards & happy motoring.

Mike

Not too far back, alternators which look like generators have become available. Might be an easier bolt-on. Maybe the power steering pump, too?

Good progress,
