I am working on a 1972 Chrysler Imperial Labaron. I have 2 questions. 1. Can the brake pump motor that is on the right front of the rad support be eliminated?
2. Is it possible to convert the auto havac system to a manual?

It sounds like you have the rare sure brake option. I’m not too familiar with sure-brake so take everything I say with a grain of salt.. But I’m sure it could be deleted, but from my understanding you would need a non sure brake booster. Which are not reproduced so you’d have to find an OEM one which may be harder and more expensive then repairing the sure-brake system.

Just my thoughts.

@Gilly -- if you could post the fender tag of your car, then we could see what brakes and A/C it has. The answer may depend on what we read.

The H53 A/C is expensive to fix, but (unlike earlier units) it can be fixed as discussed in some threads -- see here for a post on the topic by @saforwardlook
