I stopped following this thread for a while.
When did it become a movie review thread?
I can never decide when people ask me.
Out of desperation I say Raging Bull but then I say "no wait..." and then I say another early DiNiro movie.
Or early Pacini.
Or early Nicholson.
**** I don't know.....
Then I say 3 Stooges.

Here a few another good "war movies":

The Hurt Locker (2008)

Gettysburg (1993)

Black Book (2010)

Generation Kill (2008 Mini-Series)

The Messenger (2009)

The Patriot (2000)

Valkyrie (2008)

Defiance (2008)

Operation: Kingdom (2007)

Windtalkers (2002)

Some kind of war movies:

Inglourious Basterds (2009)

World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles (2011)

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)

The Devil's Double (2011)

[ Unthinkable (2010) ]

And I have to bring up Gran Torino, Clint Eastwood at his best! One hell of a good movie!
