Was there ever a small block / 318 dual plane 2-barrel factory intake?

Looking for a reality check. Did Chrysler ever make a dual-plane 2-barrel intake for the small block?

Or more specifically, is 2468960 a single or dual plane intake?

I'm pretty sure that Chrysler made both styles at one time. I think the one on my 1972 318 is a dual plane. The one you have should be from an older, 1969 and down small block which I believe is a single plane. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I remember the 1968 or 1969 318 had an intake which, at the time, resembled the popular Edelbrock Tarantula intake, but was a factory 2bbl on a 318. Looked neat! That was before we really knew anything about single plane or dual plane.

I looked in eBay for a 360 2bbl intake (which has the larger capacity Holley 2210 2bbl) and carb and intake used was $150.00 for the pair. Another search for 318 2bbl came up with something similar, but for the Carter BBD 2bbl (with smaller throttle plates). Both intakes were for later model engines, but were dual planes and from about 1972-78 model years.

1980 was the ONLY year Chrysler used a 318-size Carter BBD 2bbl on a 360. Everything prior used the larger throttle bore Holley 2210-family 2bbls.

Enjoy!

1967 and 1969 have duial planes, top photo of the 1969.

1970-71 is single plane, lower photo

Thanks for the photos. I can't quite make out the PN on the top manifold, but it does look like what I have. I note in that photo:

- capacitor on coil primary side
- brake booster vac port is plugged (so no power brakes?)
- extra vac ports on carb (if this is BBD carb, I didn't think it had those until later years).
- no choke? Or is that some sort of manual choke linkage?
