Hey guys I'm running into a water issue. I have a 66 Newport 2 door, I removed most of the interior only thing left is the dash the front seat. I seen after some rain I'm getting water on the rear part of the floor.... So today I washed her, I see the issue.. water is getting past the outer whiskers (just installed some new ones) and splashing and getting inside...

So what do I do? Is that normal?

Thanks for the help
Derek

Unless you care about a little rain getting in while driving or you leave your car uncovered outside, I wouldn't worry about it.

I know when I put the door panels back on with plastic backing it should eliminate water getting into the passenger cabin. But I still would like to know why and if that's normal.. I know the doors do it but they have the weep holes

Are you certain it's not your rear window seal? I had a leak in my old New Yorker; could never find it. Turned out to be the front window seal.

They look to be in great shape. I'm just going to add the plastic to the panels like someone on FB suggested.

I hope that helps

How's the weather stripping look around the doors? Mine are dried up and stiff. Water gets past them then runs around quite a bit, took me a while to figure out how it got in. For a while I was convinced it was getting in through the roof somehow.
