Thank you for the welcomes
Hilltown is located in Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I'm NW of Philadelphia, actually closer to Bethlehem/Allentown.
I have been a Mopar enthusiast since before I got my drivers license - my first car was a 1968 Sport Satellite. I was very active in the car hobby until about 20 years ago when other pressures and interests led to a complete cleaning out of my garage and storage areas. At that time among the cars to go were a 1960 Chrysler Saratoga, a parts car, and 2 cars worth of parts, a 1973 (?) Delta 88 convertible (wish I had that one back) a Dodge Lil' Red pickup, and a 1978 Dodge Aspen R/T with a well built 1971 340, 6-pack, and 4 speed.
Having reached a certain point in my life, and with my fiancé in agreement, I jumped back in to the hobby with the purchase of a 1960 Desoto Fireflite. It is a nice driver quality car - not original an almost any way, and far from competitive show material, but it is good looking and as cool as can be. Honestly I get more positive reaction to this car than anything else I've ever owned.
My long term plans include updating the brakes, installing A/C (a combination of factory and aftermarket parts) returning the interior to a more original appearance (although possibly not original materials) and updating the driveline with a later (as in more serviceable/better parts compatibility) engine/transmission/rear axle. The '64 Dodge I'm parting out (383/aluminum Torqueflite) will probably be the source for much of that.
Currently I'm getting the suspension in better order and trying to decide on a winter project.
Most of these pics are lifted from ads that were online when I purchased the car so some of you may recognize it . .
