What did you do to your C-body today....

I have used the high end "breathable" and "water proof" cover(s) on my wagon when left outside and have always found moisture and water under the cover, so decided to just allow the water and elements to pile up, melt and evaporate as nature sees fit....;)

Spent the morning buying custom color matched paint, clear coat and activator to paint the trunk area. Definitely worth the extra effort. Now the prep begins, waiting on warmer weather to lay down the base and clear coat

Changing out radiators. Took out old and fit up new aluminum. Need to weld the tabs on and we will be good to go.

We had a Tropical Heatwave here today. It hit 49 degrees. So I pulled the drivers seat to take to my stitcher-guy tomorrow.

This vinyl is so stiff it cracked every time I sit in the car.^

The power seat moves very slowly if at all there is so much foam-dust in the mechanism.

I dropped off my front seats at the trimmer this morning. we were able to source the material. They are white with a pearl tint and the insert is a different grain than the bolsters.
He said they should be ready by next Saturday.

Cleaned-up the seat mechanism and fixed a corroded switch contact.
Power seat now moves smoothly in all 4 directions.

Next up, new rugs while everything's out of the car.
Then a Tayman radio install, new dash pad and speakers.

Mighty fine. Looks like yer getting ready for a run to Carlisle in this car. . . Huh?

I got some head light aligners in the mail today. So had to play with them a little bit. I had one mirror that was floating around. They are a real sumbitch to re-attach through the tiny slots.
The service manual does a great job going through the alignment tool calibration.
Aligning my window. (Well actually a flat vertical surface to calibrate).

Lots of minor, boring things. Somebody's gotta do it.

Removed and cleaned the rear seat cushions, interior side panels, installed a 6x9 rear speaker, polished all the shiny stuff, cleaned front and rear carpet. cleaned the top well. cleaned and polished the accl, brake and foot brake pedals, ...... Glad that's done
Today I'll reinstall the rear carpet with new jute padding. finish painting the seat brackets and jack hook I got from "crazyabout wagons", reinstall the buddy seat/armrest and seat belts. polish the metal seat backs and side trim so I will be ready when I get my seats back from the trimmer......... WHEW......
I'll post some pic's in my project thread once it's back together.
