Wow, I forget how much I take for granted about this stuff. Even when I was 15 and just started looking under the hood of these things I knew what that was, I guess it helps starting under the hood of a 1955 Chevy.

All chrysler starter motors from about 1962 on have their starter solenoid built in, the solenoid part is the half dome lump that the two wires go to. Hope this helps, cheers.

Thats the later model regulator that replaced the unit you see in your car from about 1970 on, the box type is a mechanical regulator.
yea that's what I have on my dart and have a bunch of those laying around I never saw the old type before
