Hey guys, previously when I first installed a tach to my polara, the wire that lights up the tach was wrapped around the instrument cluster lights fuse and I really wouldn’t want an electrical fire to be the end of my car so where would you guys recommend splicing it into?

If you want it to work with the cluster lights splice it into the cluster light wiring after the switch no worry about a fire because it will be fused.

You want to look for an orange wire.

The easiest and cleanest way to do it would be to find the yellow light wire for the ash tray and follow that up to a
connector. That connector should have one or maybe two open holes for a male bullet connector.

Crimp a male bullet connector (find them at a good parts store) and connect there. No splicing into the wires... and it's an easy spot to find...
