Taking into account the year that prototype was built (1951) and put into contrast with contemporary production vehicles, it was quite a visionary creation. Maybe the dashboard and controls were a bit far out. But if you ever wanted to fly an airplane yet never got your pilot's license, that would be the way to go...

This car is ugly and handsome at the same time... I would drive it anywhere and do it proudly. With that said, I'm still just a fuselage man - with some side-jumps here and there. ;)

Talking about Inspiration of the LeSabre design I just happened to come across this customized Veritas Body. The article sais the original builder Spohn bodyworksdid some custom conversions, also for American GIs in Germany as well as regular Veritas sports cars. Makes the original look real handsome.
