I was just informed that Holley has purchased MSD who previously purchased Mallory. Does this mean some companies products go up in quality, down in quality or just more expensive. Talk about market share. If you can't compete buy the buggers out. And it gets better. They also purchased the infamous Mr Gasket.

Mallory was junk 30 years ago. MSD has tried to sell more mainstream stuff in adv. & A.Z. which was repackaged Chinese crap ( just my opinion) I think their high end stuff is okay but I have had one of their crap coils on my Challenger for 7 years now and it has always had a cough/pop through the intake which I blamed on the goofy grind can that was in it but after the new 400 in there now the same damn hiccup is in there. I just picked up a cheap as I could find coil will put it on tomorrow I will let you know if the problem goes away I believe it will. Holley's quality has been up and down I think it will remain high because they are copied so much in the industry.

Everything is made overseas today.
I say my best bet is the Chinese one that's been made by them for the last 40 years.
Not the Chinese one that they've only been making the last several years.

That's why I avoid 440 Source like the plague.
