So I bought this one today.

Thanks gents! I waited for a long time for the parts car so I could do this and I’m excited to drive it this season. Besides that it’s not good for my brain to have too many projects in my shop and right now I have too many.

This car confuses me in several ways pertaining to its condition, one way being that in my experience with Michigan cars is that usually the passenger side fares worse than the driver’s side because most of the road debris gets kicked up near the shoulder. This one is quite the opposite. There is some work to do in these same areas on the passenger side but not nearly as much.

From what I discovered, the top bolt (green) is accessible through the trunk. The 3 red bolts are totally inaccessible when it is mounted on the car. The 3 orange bolts do nothing unless the 3 red bolts are removed. So, it looks like you have to remove the entire bracket from the subframe via the six rusty-*** bolts under the car (white), Am I missing something? Either way, the six bolts will not budge, so I'm at a standstill unless I can get a car lift and use a big-*** breaker bar...

Yep, the 6 white bolts need to come out and the whole assembly will slide out. Get some good penetrant and start soaking them. Kroil is the very best.

My experience in the urban rust belt implies that a car parked on the street could be exposed to more salt/debris on the driver's side.
The rust in these spots is from debris kicked up while driving.

I befriended the guy that bought it back then and when he was ready to move on he reached out to me and made me buy it. Here’s how I found it the other day where it’s been sitting for a little too long. Obviously a lot of blanks to fill in here and I’ll start doing that soon but needless to say I’m excited at the opportunity to make sure it gets saved.
Oh and yes it has power vents.:)

Beautiful interior. Hope you can make it strong again.

I still have some work to do on this mount but it’s not going anywhere now.:)
I’ve got client work to switch my focus to for a bit.

I picked up the radiator and the paint for the engine room today.:)

Finally took some time to finish welding the mount in place today.
I’m not going for full on pretty appearance grade stuff here because quite frankly you can’t even see this area clearly from the topside.

I've cut access holes on 1/4 panel to get to those 2 hard to get to bolts on part cars that had unusable panels. A shortcut

Even though it’s not as bad as the other side I’m still going to replace the 2 brackets and the end of the seat crossmember.
