So I bought this one today.

Soooooo when would you like to come out to AZ to kickstart my paint work? There's a plane ticket waiting for you at the airport. Just saying. Haha! Excellent work as always, amigo.
Actually that was the first time I ever shot paint at the body of a car and it’ll be the last time I ever do it outside a proper booth. The rest of the panels for this portion of this project will go to my buddies shop, it’s far to messy and stinky to do that here. I spray a lot of clear oil & urethane at the furniture I build and have sprayed latex paint onto a few cabinets here but no color at a car. You have a stellar painter in Chris @azblackhemi right in your neighborhood, you don’t need me!

Nice metallic in this color though, right?

Thanks for the recommendation Matt but I'm retired! Completely retired!

Took the heads which were relatively freshly rebuilt apart for a good cleaning, checked the spring pressures and reassembled them so they’re good to go now. 516’s with bigger exhaust valves and some bowl and port work.
Today it’s the driver’s side ball joints. The boots were shot so I took everything apart to clean out all the old grease, pumped some new grease through them and put back together with new/good boots. The joints themselves are fine and everything is good on the right side.

Feel better about that. Luckily the original lower ball joints from this car are still good including the boots so I’ll be holding onto them as spares.

Matt, are you retired? That's the only way I can figure you have the time to get this far on projects!
Lol! No but I am self employed and in a good place with client work.

I flushed the front brake hard lines with mineral spirits until they ran clean and then blew brake cleaner through them and then blew them through with compressed air before putting the new hoses, rotors, calipers and pads on with fresh grease on the bearings.
