Hi all, hope someone can help with my dilemma, I've had to purchase new / old wiring harnesses inside and out for my 70 Polara vert as the old one's were butchered beyond recognition.
I got the interior main harness that came with a few extra secondary harnesses.
First one: 2983 140 78352 I think is for the rear defog/speed control/ corner light and head lamp delay....I don't think I need this one?
Second one: 2947230 25077 I have no clue as to what its for.
Third one:3513 179 H96555 no clue as to what this one is for neither.
Forth one:3513 426 64312
I cannot find any reference to what the last 3 are for, as they were all IMG_3131.JPGIMG_3132.JPGIMG_3133.JPGIMG_3134.JPG loose in the bundle I got. They came from a 71 Monaco 4 dr.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks Polaratherapy

I have loose, the 29472360 as well so watching what responses you get.
If Samplingman thinks 2947230 its for the front speaker, most cables/ harnesses are sequentially numbered or have the same prefix, so I will assume yours is for the radio/ 8 track/ fader... something radio related.

Do a quick scan of your service manual wire schematic starting with the area that you think it may reside. Look for the plug type and number of terminals along with the wire colors. Should be able to narrow it down. Plus you will learn a lot about your electrical system. For faster reference take colored pencils to your schematic to quickly find them.

Thanks for the tips, I have no problem following the schematics using a ruler as the designations are at both ends are identified so it keeps me on track, I will revisit the radio, fader, cornering light sections in the book.
In a former life I worked for Bell Canada so my old probe and tracer helped a lot.

Yes I agree, its the one and the black wire hooks up to a without tilt wheel only connector ( without tilt steering ? )......There is an error in my book where the 12BK designation at the Heater Blower Switch changes down 12BR at the next connector WTWO. Page 8-84, edge of page halfway down. Nice catch!

Sprice, send me a good couple of pictures of 29472360 with connector shots, color code, what car/ year, I only have the 70 Polara/Monaco service manual, so not sure if I can help.

Is there a thread where I can see pics of your convertible?
NOT MINE - 1970 Dodge Polara Convertible - C$8,500 - Sudbury, Ontario, Canada I only paid 7 CDN for it, it's now in restoration mode, all the crap mentioned in the sale came off except for the hood for the time being, I did acquire another hood for $100 and another trunk lid both in amazing shape, also 100 bucks. I've had to redo all the foot wells ( welded in new one's ) some fab work, so all interior is out, dash pad is off and being refurbished. Surprisingly the body was in fair condition but body work still in progress. The bucket seats in it at the time of purchase were out of a mid 90's Monte Carlo, he had the seats anchored to just the 1 mm thick floor missing the braces completely, when I saw that I had a WTF moment. I've acquired a couple of buckets out of a 71 Monaco. Intake manifold needs work too!
He told me he was trying to make it look like a Challenger so he redid the front lights with relays and set the exhaust
through the rear valence. The list goes on, the previous owner did some nasty stuff to her, she spent at least 8 years in a temp garage in a trailer park in the Sudbury basin, not the best conditions for a 50+ car.
I will never get her back to stock, so I'm just having a fun rebuild, learning new skills in the process, getting help from this site, enjoying retirement, doing as much as I can myself.....therapy!
This build will be the equivalent as to how much money I throw at it to get her back on the road and safe!

PT, have a nice day.

Not sure if this works right: Sending from phone. I think I was mistaken on part number, however the appearance looked the same to me. My car is nearing completion to paint stage. If you need anything else, let me know. I did think this was a speaker part as auto wire is never fused like this.

Nice work on the engine paint job, was your car originally red...still red?
As for the harness, almost looks like it belongs with the heater blower, correct me if I'm wrong, the harness consists of BLK, BRN, and DGN? I 'm not seeing any brown wire in any of the radio configurations/diagrams
Hard to see, I don't have the best eyesight, if there is a violet in there, if so it could be part of your rear right quarter tail, stop and turn signal harness. Pg.8-78 middle of the page.

Every time I go back and look at the pictures and read the comments the mad hatters left it makes me laugh also.
Unbeknownst to them he kept the hood down, too embarrassed to show off the 2 40oz bottles of Jack Daniels being used as the rad overflow and the windshield washer reservoir

The wires are a tow piece melded together, dark green and black splitting off from a three pin to two two-pin wires. No Brown. Light was terrible in the garage. Paint on the car is Land Rover Firenze, so not original. I purchased a parts car (68" New Yorker) with many extras and that fellow was going to make a 300 out of it. I went the other way a kind of put some New Yorker ideas in the 300. Applied new wood grain to dash and center console. Also added the, I'll call them foam or cushiony extensions on the dash. Because I had them from the other car and always thought the 300 should have been a bit more upscale. Diehard Mopar fans will know. Time and cost prohibit my ability to go 100% original, besides working on 4 other Mopars. Appearance wise, all Chrysler with some upgrades like disc brakes, electronic ignition, Borgeson steering box, and with inside engine tweaks. Just finished mechanical, install seat, test drive and bodywork next, IF it ever summers up around here in central Canada.
