I seriously hope a real enthusiast grabs this car rather it end up with some derby clown or somebody who will yank the 440 out of it. Meanwhile I'm trying to scrape some pennies together...

Take up a collection Gary...... I'd help ya with a few bucks if you want to do something with it.... I agree.... It needs to be saved.

Yeah, it is fabulously sweet....like it just landed here from 1970, looks completely unmolested...even the dust looks like 70' vintage dust.

That would be a keeper.

The dashboard looks like the one in my car...free of waves or bumps from heat. That's one big problem that's usually there: rest on interior is nice, top of dashboard is warp or even melted (southern cars). Hate that.

I saw the ad on Tuesday and called him and reached his wife. He called me back a few hours later. Unfortunately the front sub frame is rusted out as you might expect (and that could mean a lot of the underbody is full of holes) and the engine is stuck, but he was trying to free it up. The original owner started the car about once a year to keep it running, but I guess that isn't such a good policy unless you actually drive it, or maybe the antifreeze was never changed and eventually the head gasket failed. He said it had about 80K miles, with a/c and a few other options, but no power windows or seat, etc. Sure looked good on the exterior though. He wouldn't budge on the price despite the problems. It is too far away for me in any case.

Yeah, that's for sure. If ya got a spare 440 or even 383 laying around then it might be a good deal. If it seems to good to be true....

Looks like it came out of the 1970 catalog.

I emailed him on the off chance and he said it would be sold with bill of sale, has stuck motor and has been layed up since 1976?
Great colour combination - white interior would be amazing.
hope someone on here buys this car eh?

I was going to try, but saforwardlook got there first.....the description kills the deal for me. Would have been nice, close enough to drive up there and check it out.
