A guy came and bought some parts from me, and mentioned he was buying a pair of '68 Monaco's to take parts from. He offered to leave me the carcasses for free, as he didn't want to crush them. After some discussion, we both agreed the burgundy car was too good to part out, so I gave him everything I had in my parts pile that he was after, to save the one from being parted out.

It's a 1968 Monaco 500, original paint, original interior. Ordered new in Vancouver, BC as a burgundy car with white painted top.
383, 2 bbl
727
Buckets with center buddy seat
Power windows

The other one is a '68 Monaco 500, 318, 727. Buckets, console. Originally black with white interior.

Burgundy car Windsor built and has sport Fury interior with the optional reclining passenger seat ( headrest requiered but missing).
Not many from Windsor came with big blocks or power windowsfor that matter.

Congrats!
I like the duct tape seat repair.
How are the floors and undercarriage?
Yeah, the duct tape seat repair definitely makes them worse, lol.
Floors and frame rails are in great shape. Only spot of rust on the burgundy one is a quarter sized hole in drivers fender. Easy fix.

Love to see the burgundy fender tag.
Why?
Drivers door mirror is at location that of a 67 car
Early build date maybe?

On October 19th I was enquiring about interchangeable parts for my 1967 Sport Fury...these 2 '68 Monaco's that Mike has now were the cars. Happy we agreed to save the Burgundy one.

Looks like the turquoise one does too judging by the wheel covers.
Yep. But I hijacked this thread too much already...stay tuned when I post my own thread on the grand reveal..

Back on topic...
The burgundy car has the disc brake BOOSTER but drum brake master..fyi.
As the OP stated, drum brake car.

Nice to see the cars get spared as much as possible. You almost need a parts car for the driver, with the pickings today. I know I do.

I like the Burgundy/White color combo, and the painted roof especially.
