Here's my latest Wedge build.
Should make well over 500hp & pull like a freight train to 65-6600 with the hydraulic roller that was custom ground for the combo.
Let's see some MOPAR beauties....

Pretty basic 440 here. Ported 906's, 590 cam, Harland Sharp rockers, 850 Holley, C body Hooker headers. The cam is advanced some to help with the midrange but it's still not what I'd consider mild or streetable for a 4300 pound car, lol

Is that a Torker I see hiding under that carb?

1970 440 with forged crank, 030 TRW pistons with approx. 11 to 1 comp. Isky hyd. cam with Crane adjustable rockers. Edelbrock manifold and carb. 906 heads with minor work and Mallory dist.

Ok I'll bite. I wanted stock looking 440. HP exhaust manifolds on pump piss. It is a bored/stroked 440 to 505. Stealth aluminum mildly ported heads [look stock when painted] Aluminum water pump and housing, Holley Street Dominator single plane intake, Hydraulic custom roller cam designed by Duane Porter as well as head work. Roller rockers, balanced a lightened rotating assembly topped with a conservative Eddy 800CFM Avs2 carb. A great @halifaxhops points distributor. Good vacuum for power drum brakes and will idle in traffic on 90 degree days no problem with good behavior. Estimates are the engine is now about 80+ lbs lighter than a stock cast iron stock 440. 3.23 rear and has effortless torque.

Here’s the before and after pictures of the 383 in my 68 Newport.

Was a G code motor from the factory, I rebuilt it to the H code specs when I had the car restored.

Great to see all these engine bays . As the old saying goes “Different strokes for different folks!!” :steering:

Not in my car yet. Engine was originally intended for my '71 318 civi car. Started with just a 73 cast 440 block. .010 under steel crank, .030" over six pack pistons .010" in the hole. 440 source rods with arp bolts, mopar performance top end, lunati voodoo 10230702/60302 cam, stainless roller rockers, 750cfm street demon carb, HP manifolds. Made 418hp and 490tq with dyno carb (750 holley) and junk distributor.
