yeah, where is Joe McCarthy now that we need him? Remember though, the voters want this.....just let the govt support me and i'll do whatever they say. Bad part is, some of those who work enjoy this route too......best days are long gone, they started to disappear quickly in the 60's.

BTW, did you guys know we gave China approx 28.3 mill in aid last year? LMFAO Gawd, can we get any more stupid?

Yah? Well, you missed Oct. 1962. I had the crap scared out of me and I was convinced I really was going to die. And I was only 13.
Do tell, I'm all ears. Didya have a underground bunker full of canned foods and all that?? Where you in Florida at the time? I bet that little incident with Cuba scared the crap out of the entire state.

I was 8 at the time and yes, it was scary. Imagine hearing the bells ringing at school, I believe it was 4 rings in a row and we would all head down into the basement. There we would squat down, face to the wall and wait for the "all clear" bell to ring.

Also in the basement was the Civil Defense issued food rations, all kept over in a locked area.

It was very scary for everybody, but as a kid it could be terrifying. If they did that today, the kids would be going through therapy as part of the drill. Back then we just had to tough it out....

I don't know if you're being funny or not.
And don't forget I was Bostonian all my life. I only came to God's waiting room after I retired.

I was 9. We lived down the road from Beale AFB near Marysville California. That was a SAC base then. My dad was Staff Sargeant stationed there. I remember having the bejesus scared out of me.

There's some differences... With Yankees, losing your khakis means you have no pants. In Boston, if you lose your khakis, you can't drive.
