Anyone know anything about this car?
It’s in Florida now but has Carolina plates.
Is someone close to Tampa?
Would like to have this car.

Looks like you want a matched pair.

I get it. I would have trouble passing on a matching convertible for me.

Overpriced, no pics of key areas & many detail items need help. Body side moldings painted black sloppily and would need to be stripped and painted white or dark argent grey to be correct. Vinyl top is incorrect.

I saw the seam for the top running right down the center but didn’t know.
The chrome looks pitted but the pics aren’t real close to what we are looking for.

Would be a nice car to have, but it apparently is not a "correct" car, which the black data plate tends to indicate to me. Due dilligence, as always.

Enjoy!

I’d like to know all about the PX23 vin number.

OP it would be kind if you post up a link to the auction for feeble lazy old gits here.
(how hard is it really, oh phone net user... never mind) (but then again it not that hard, just mash finger on link, tap copy, then mash finger 2nd time and tap paste right?)

I seen this one on the net recently, thought it was posted up already and I made comments on it.
Why are you worried about chrome pitting? For 20 grand all the chrome should be perfect, seriously it a car showroom flipper, awful lot of road grime around engine and the odometer numbers don't line up so I'd say 160k miles. Middle seam top is non factory and amateurish. I've got a lot of AD picture of these baby blue Fastops, I just took a quick peek to see if this matches any old NC Ad's, maybe I'll look a little closer as that folder needs a little sorting.

(edit) Also it's not close to Tampa, more like 70 miles south of Tampa right next to where I use to live in Manatee County Sarasota/Bradenton area.

Could you post a couple?
I’d like to see some of them.
Thanks.

Sure, but Baby Blue as I call it color isn't a fav of mine and I think the correct wording is Hawaiian Blue but I have 5 folders of baby blues Fury III's I saved as I used to have a Fastop Fury III but sadly many are old Craigslist AD photos and aren't of a Hi-Res quality.
Here's a Fury III eBay AD photos of decent quality that I thought to save from 10 years ago. I Think the final results were 'reserve not met' at the $2,5k range with 3 bids, seller was looking for the $7k range, and I saw this car on CL several times before the eBay AD (years).

I think those wheel covers a pretty rare as this is the only instance of seeing them on a car in the 2 decades of culling 1968 Fury AD's.

Here's what I had as a DD in the early 80's but no missing parts, picked it up for a 100 bucks with it just needing a muffler to pass state inspection.
A quick paint buff and wax with a vinyl top clean & wax it looked pretty respectable until it hit a immovable object late one night.

FYI, the wheel covers are from a 66 or a 67 Fury.
