When I was about ten im 19 now me and my dad found this junkyard and stumbled across what was one hell of a find we found a 383 1965 polara 4-speed wagon with a/c now I dont have much memories of the car and my father had bought it but never picked it up and it was sadly crushed...but I was wondering could this be a real car? I doubt someone would want to put a 4-speed in a wagon but I have heard of some c-bodys with 4-speeds but with a/c? can anyone help with this puzzle its haunted me for years that if this car was real it would be EXTREMLY rare and unique I think it was a real car but I would love some info please thank you. -Zach

I'm sure it was possible and maybe was purchased to tow hence 4 speed .. A/C was available with 4 speeds behind 383's btw and being a long roof was probably outfitted for comfort for the journey's.

And it may have been a 3 speed instead of 4 speed

Now I thought they didn't like putting 4-speeds in with a/c because of the compression ratio? And im sure that they didn't make to many of these problay a handful but ive yet to seen another one the closet was a 64 but that was still a b-body if im not mistaken.

You must have gone to a different Carlisle ....... A little planning will keep the costs down, prepair for the weather .... and the concessions are hard to beat. That Amish chicken corn soup is to die for.

"its tough sleeping in a metal floor u haul"

Hell ....... When I was 19 I could sleep leaning up against the windfall.......
Were raising a generation of lightweights...... :poke:

Don't know about the earlier stuff but in 68-71 time frame no 4 speed A/C behind 440 HP and none behind hemi and 440+6 but both could be had behind 383 HP and was common esp in the south .. and yes there's probably some 440 HP 4 speed A/C exceptions somewhere

hi 67 fury, i am currently restoring a 440 4 speed 66 fury wagon non a/c though. yes they are rare. go to members restorations in this forum. i will upload some recent pics. it is a long term project, stan has a good memory.

I've seen several go across Epay a few years ago. 1 was a 64 Polara wagon with 426 wedge and a 4 speed with bench seat!
Datatag was correct.
Another was a 65 Chrysler Newport wagon with 383 4 speed and bench seat.
Know where 65 chrysler wagon with column 3 speed is in Slidell, louisiana. Almost bought it.
I was told, many bought them to pull cars to the track.
My first 67 Sport Fury 4 speed was bought for that purpose.

ANother strange mother mopar was a 68 Monaco vert 4 speed. 440, weird full length console up the rear package tray even!
In Deleware. Lady said husband bought it to pull boat. She wanted $4000 in 1983. I lost number! AAAAArrrrrGGGGGG!

Mother Mopar built some strange stuff! Money talked! I bet somewhere there is an Imperial convert 4 speed rolling around someones estate!

Just checked and only Mods have that option. It's so we can have fun and witty labels and to keep you guys down

Sorry
