AWE %$#@ Will.
You guys are unbelievably awesome.
Let me look back there. I remember your collection well.
Thanks, Will!

How many of you guys taped your best E.T.s from the track onto your window?

In another tidbit about how authenticity is very important to me in the Newport (Time travel is possible), I started wonder "hmmm... what girl did I date in my Newport????
And then I went AWE CRAP remembering it was my first wife....

I had the "class winner" decals on my back window when I first started racing.

That STP sticker needs to be a little crooked and a corner peeled a bit to be authentic! LOL!

You're right.
As I was putting it on I was wondering about that.
My ADD and OCD had a terrible fight on that one.
OCD won...

It is funny I don't like stickers on cars, but that STP is prefect. I have a IH (International Harvester) employee sticker on the front windshield of my 300. 1st owner was a nurse there and the 2nd Earl was an engineer. It is never coming off.

That's cool, Mike.
Hey! You're looking good there...

Now to clarify that was Earl. His numbers were so low from cancer that he went straight to the hospital, but not after I gave him the first ride after Goldie was painted. If he felt lousy you couldn't tell that afternoon.

You just have to roll your window up and down a couple hundred times to have accelerated ageing of the sticker, window mechanism and your arm.

Just a quick update cuz you like pics and I like posting them :D

Dash is complete now. I was given a disaster. Details are too many but each one was a real PITA.
Not restored but simply the entire instrument panel now works as new.

Not for show, just for go.

A huge thanks to the guys that helped me out with the parts.

I see you managed to retain the OE glove box door fit....

Damn you sure nailed that one Gary. I can hear the train as it goes through the crossings in Avon Park, six miles away at 2:00 A.M.
I bet the image of tumbleweed going down Main St. in The Last Picture Show is burned into your memory.

When I was a kid, my summer vacation was visiting my cousin's dairy farm. The closest `civilization' was the CNR tracks, about 1½ miles from the house & barn, with the CPR tracks about 2 miles away on the north side of 401. If you love the sound of a diesel powered train at 2:00am, then you've missed out on the greatest sound of all. A STEAM powered double lash-up going through at the same time.

It's because of that reason I don't get anal about it. It's factory correct.
When I was putting the dash back together, I tried messing with it but I could tell that it was a fool's mission to continue trying.

You will notice though that the AC duct from the box to the R.H dash outlet is NOT hanging down below the dash unlike the other 95% of the 67/68's out there. That one I would not slide.
