First time post here. Thought I would say hello and show what I will be working on over the next year or 2. 62 Dodge 880 2 door coupe. Plans are in March. Car goes to Mountainside Fabrication in Athens TN for ChassisWorks G Machine front suspension with Unisteer electric steering. Out back will be doing US Car Tool spring relocation set up. From there we will decide if we want stay on leafs with sliders or go 4 bar. Posted some pics of the car. I paint shopped the trim to look like the 62 300 trim and trimmed the bumper. Got more photos anyone interested in seeing more. Forward Look to checkin out this forum.

Welcome. Nice car!
Thanks. It is a very solid needs some body work nothing major. Rocker work and lower qtrs behind wheels. Floor solid. Worse thing is the trunk floor. These car were notorious for that because of the trunk seals and such a large area. But got most of the metal covered have a solid donor car.

Awesome Fu#king Car. I love it.
Thanks got it about 2 yrs ago from a guy in NY who bought from the original owners. He had it about 6 mos never registered it so I guess technically makes me the second owner. He wasn't a Mopar guy but liked the car and bought from the family before it was going into an Estate sale.

More please.
What do want more project info or photos. The car is what were calling Pro Cruise. Engine will be a pump gas 512 low deck stroker with TF heads with FI Tech throttle body injection against a 727 with 3:23 gears. Car will be able to go anywhere fill up and keep going. Got some stuff from Gary Goers last week. Highly recommend him for sure. Just be patient when ordering great guy. Not decided which A/C to get yet but will be running A/C also.

Nice car, I have a 62 4 door 880, worked on a bunch of it already and finally just driving, next will be ac in the next few months. mine will stay stockish and only used for cruising around. John.

Thanks, anyone needing info on the early 880s 62-64 ask I have messed with this car enough I know what works and what doesn't as far as modifying upgrading and cross referencing parts to these cars
What sway bar fits a 64 880? I assume an imperial of the same year? Pics of the progress would be great. I really would like to see this build from beginning to the end. Good luck with everything.

Well I really don't know. I popped off and got stumped. I think you are correct though. A lot of front suspension components from roughly 60-64 on the 300s 880s NY NewP IMP were the same. Just different wheelbase. I think you are on the right track. I would think it would work. Yes when I get in the shop and start the front suspension I will show progress pics. Its definitely gonna be the only one on the block.

Yeah they are the cruiser. Man did you notice they just float on the HWY. Drive the same at 30 as they do at 85. Watch the stock wiring it can cause headaches.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Thanks. Its a very solid car. But not without it's issues. But Luckily nothing major. But a excellent plat form to start with. Gonna take sometime to get where I am planning. I will have more in it than it will be worth. But that's how the custom car hobby goes. Just watch Barrett Jackson. They sell cars that you know the owner took a beat down for what he had in it. Total labor of love. I like it cause every cruise in I go to nobody has ever said "Yeah my Buddy had one of those". Even my Mopar buddies are stumped by it. From everything I have read. The production numbers for the 2dr were something like 1550-1700 give or take. So it dose create challenges. I couldn't imagine trying to do one of these things to concourse level.

Welcome, Love the 880s!
Thanks. Yeah I like it. But that feeling will change im sure as I move forward. I just got to keep everything in perspective though. Doing things correctly and functional. Nothings gonna be perfect but it's gotta be done right. It's a fine line between doing what you "Wanna" do or doing what you "Need" to do. "Wanna" due cost a lot. "Need" to do is cheaper. If that can even be said in this hobby. LOL
