We are heading to Chicago for the weekend. I've heard of and will try all of these I think:

Chicago style pizza
Chicago dogs
Chicago Italian Beef sammich

What else is there to try or put on the culinary list ?

We'll be here at Hyatt Regency O'Hare on Bryn Mawr Ave.

That's it. Burger fries and a malted 30 years ago. Burger, fries, and a cherry coke 20 years ago, burger fries and diet cherry coke now. I asked for a green salad 10 years ago ... the waitress told me to "get my a** out" (not really -- we had fun with it).

Navy Pier is great this time of year. good sights/eats/shopping. Have fun!

all of these are in the burbs, so all you'll be eating is yummy food. no lead

Portillo's is a really good fast-casual joint, but for THE Chicago hot dog and beef sammich experience, go to Superdawg and Johnnies. and when you go to Johnnies, make sure you get the peppers. Ma-done are they great!

I always order a combo (beef and italian sausage), juicy (dipped in the gravy), sweet (peppers).

Superdawg 6363 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, United States, Classic drive up, nice place to eat is Zias Trattoria 6699 N. NORTHWEST HWY - CHICAGO, IL 6063. Both of these are on the NW side near the airport.

Yep. that's it. dont be surprised if you get there and there is a line around the building. it's worth the wait though!
