About 15 years ago I asked them why they didn't and they said it was easier to find a SB K-frame and use the SB to BB kit.
I didn't persue it beyond that point.

It is a shame, I have the complete drive train done on my 300 and it would be cheaper to put it in another body, than fix this one.About 15 years ago I asked them why they didn't and they said it was easier to find a SB K-frame and use the SB to BB kit.

All Slant six cylinder cars have an offset passenger side engine mount. On "A, B, and E" body cars this is easily changed by replacing the "K" frame. Since "C" body cars use a stub frame this means the whole frame has to be changed, or new mounts welded in to make this change.

That is one of the reasons the other Mopar bodies are being rebuilt faster than our "C" body cars.
If anyone wants I can take pictures and measurements of the two side by side......SB and Slanty....

Car needs a lot of work. What is interesting is the factory clock!
The car is in Orland, not Chico. 24 miles away.

I don't think there's any difference between SB and BB. I think the Schumacher comment about finding the SB frame and then use SB-BB kit was a red herring.
