These cars, (56-61), fall into a totally different catagory then our Cbodys, or any other mopars for that matter.
There is a very low survival rate for one thing, and the virgil Exner styling stops folks in their tracks. It's not the mechanics, or performance...but the style that makes them so desireable. It dosen't stop at the exterior design either, the interiors are just as outragious with, (then) jet age design and wild colors.
Although unreliable the value guides seem to back up their popularity with higher then average values. Good cars usually sell quickly, Just the ticket for those who don't want to just "blend in" with the crowd.
If I remember correctly, there are Darts and Polaras, Seneca and Pioneer are part of the Dart series like a Plymouth Fury I, II, III in later modelyears. D500 is an engine related performance option for the Polara. Correct me if I'm wrong, original inhabitants
no, it's seneca, pioneer, phoenix (all versions of the dart), polara and lancer were sep series, although the polara had the same basic body style as the darts.
cm23uc is correct, D500 was an eng option for all though, not just polaras, and there were a few diff versions of that, up to and incl the 413 2-4 cross ram
I like the sedans better with these and they have to have the early taillights like the one above, they later put them further up and made them round for the registration laws.
