For about ten seconds after I received the camera, I had silly visions of me doing something artistic with it... That bubble burst so fast you could hear it pop.

My job gives us a small selection of gifts we can order every 5th anniversary... That's how I acquired both camera's, they had nothing else I was even remotely interested in. By not even bothering to shop for a camera, I truly have no product knowledge and the one I use pretty much brought me up to date from the disposables I would use before that.

I'm quite happy to try to document what was at a show or junkyard inventories... but if you want something better, I'm not the one... :stop:

In the disposable days, that pic would be a victory of focus and lack of fingers... :D

It's like a cell phone, you get a new one,and you play with it. Hit a button and see where it takes you. Don't like where you went? Go back, to a happy place. It's super easy to find the macro setting if you just stop, and don't think too hard, and bam, you find it and feel better. That's the great advantage to digital, you can take 5,000 pictures and not waste any precious film!

Go get your camera and no more posts til you find the Macro feature!

Would that involve reading the book that came with it???
No just look for a little icon that looks like a flower.

Or having a 10 year old relative explain it to both of us. LOL!
Olivia or Aaron

Do you really think he'll figure this out before posting again.

I forgot about that flower thing!

I believe I hit the white balance button on my camera that year at Carlisle. All the pictures from that point had a very blue tint. Of course, I didn't realize that until I got back to Maryland.

The Macro setting is for much finer detail than a fender tag. Fender tags can be had on a standard or auto setting

Jesus Jeff!! Whens the next trip? You may have given me a reason to venture out west.

Might have to take you up on that trailer offer lmao.

Thanks for all the pics!! Amazing seeing them all. And here we are in FL pilaging one lonely Formal!

Car trailer is a 2007 Imperial, black and big enough for a Formal... 77 NYB parts car for the parts car...

The parts from that 78 in the DIY yard are soo much cheaper...

Thanks for the great virtual yard tour Jeff. I yearn for the days when these yards were 2 hrs from my door, and prices were more than reasonable back in the early to mid 80s. I could easily spend a week in those yards and not see it all.
