Sorry Bob, I was clicking away as I maneuvered through there... and I pretty much just photo dumped here...
This is the front... late 40's GM coupes had nice asses, this one's an Olds...

Very similar to the 66, grille and taillights are the big difference.
And, the 66 has that ungodly huge body crease going forward from the top of the front wheel opening - the one feature I strongly dislike on the 66.

And we have folks here, like yourself, that post up some goodies to tease the rest of us. And/Or make us wish we were walking alongside on your adventures........ but now I know they don't have any 65's I can stop planning a trip out there.
Overwhelming number of photos Jeff. Amazing job you performed for all of us. I am seeing a worthwhile road trip taking place for me in the near future. So much stuff there that I thought was long gone some time ago.

It took me a few years to learn I had the wrong year grille!
And it's because of these terrible, I mean horrible people, that I called and then sent the picture this jerk took, so I can maybe get the right part after all these years.
Thank you @cantflip for taking so many pictures, the grilles got me more excited than anything else! Now to see if they have a straight, rust free rear bumper for the Polara. Maybe Laura and I will head down that way for our vacation, we have already talked about it, thanks to you!

You really never know, they are both active yards with more stuff coming in regularly enough... I would suggest sending them both pictures of desired items with enough information to help them identify what cars to watch for...
I would also post the same wish list here with the same photos... we have excellent membership coverage. Once someone knows what you want, you may be surprised how fast a PM may come your way.
Then I accomplished my mission. As much fun as I have walking these places, I don't have the time, funds or ambition to try to scavenge them for profit. I much prefer to help the community find what they need... there was a lot of good stuff in those yards. IDK how well HVAP would find stuff, but DVAP didn't seem to know their own inventory very well. Of course, since I was looking for Formal stuff, I wasn't asking about the more valuable inventory. DVAP had so many cars I couldn't get to, I'm sure their stacks had a bunch more good stuff for Fuselage and Slab Sides.
I saw several likely candidates, I would say that you are better off spending your vacation in Carlisle and dealing with the bumper via greyhound or fastenal. They won't allow you to remove anything yourself, so the necessary inspections should be almost as good via internet photo's.It took me a few years to learn I had the wrong year grille!

IDK what it was about, but outside the gate at DVAP somebody was getting arrested as I left... a couple cops turned into a dozen pretty fast while I was wrapping up my photo time. Maybe their "we prosecute" policy works that good out there...

I figured you'd find the goodies I found for you... but I knew better than to walk out without looking for those silly tail lights... you guys either need to help @Zymurgy with the repops or buy sheet metal to convert to NYers...

Heck next trip I should just drag you along with me... Viv won't travel, at least not while she still has the cats and her mom to look after. Interesting packing hint... apparently if you include a little cast iron in your luggage, you get nice little notes from TSA that basically say "We were here"

I considered trying for them, but with my heavy items, I wasn't too sure how well I could pack them for the flight home... as it is, my brand new/used goodwill suitcase came home with a big hole where they skewered it with something. $10 loss, think I should make a claim?

I'd make a claim, give them the old "that was my Nana's favorite suitcase line" and you promised to take could care of it. Lol
Probably woulda worked out better without the goodwill $9.99 tag on it...
I may just duct tape it for Carlisle That was at HVAP, sorry I didn't get as far as pricing, but they seemed to be fair in their prices when you consider they are handling the removal. I would have them send pictures of condition prior to shipping, but I didn't see any chrome bubbling off the pot metal... so far the nicest I have found.
