I played another Carlin video for you that had asked was tthiz the best we can do " Garbage in, Garbage out .
Not sure what is wrong about focusing on America first, immigration ( saving millions of dollars and saving lives) buy American, the economy and a strong defense.
How could anyone dislike any of that but the democrats do....
I would definitely agree that achieving better trade deals and focusing on the economy are important priorities. I agree that immigration needs to be fixed, but I don't see it killing our economy as much as claimed.
We can already destroy the world many times over, so why do we need an even bigger nuclear arsenal that Trump wants?
The tax cuts we got trouble me because we are already at $20 trillion in debt and this cut added another $1.4 trillion to it. Maybe some relief to corporations will be a good move - I am not sure it will work this time when it didn't under Reagan since there are no safeguards against shielding money outside the U.S. still nor does it prevent the windfall going only to CEOs and shareholders as a first priority and they still ship jobs overseas (why not put some real teeth into the cuts if we mean business?) and it also lowered tax rates for the wealthy who already don't pay their fair share compared to tax rates before Reagan when growth in this country was at its greatest pace. The middle class got very little out of the tax cuts and none of that is lasting (expires in some 4 or 5 years). And as soon as the cuts were announced, Paul Ryan gets on the news proclaiming the Republican's next big step is reforming entitlements, which means Social Security and Medicare will be a big target for them. What they give, they take more away. Where is the money for infrastructure, the wall, or anything else of importance going to come from when we already can't pay our bills. You or I can't function this way for long, that is for sure. I can see why Trump has gone bankrupt so many times.
If focusing on America first means we get out of the Paris Accord, I don't think that is a good move long term. Why not stay in the accord and fix the proportion of cost the U.S. bears compared to other nations? All the CO2 going into the atmosphere stays there 100 years (its lifetime before breaking down) so if we just keep putting more into the atmosphere, we will have a heck of a time getting rid of it when temperatures continue to climb. We can ignore the scientists just so long, and we are all seeing trends to more tragic events with time.
And I have no use for the democrats either, and find all this drama stupid. We have become a society drugged out on reality TV and don't really analyze anthing anymore, but just react to the biggest loudmouth around. Our citizens need to be more engaged in the details and the truth and really keep tabs on what is going on in Washington, not just react to the latest CNN or Fox News headlines.
Although there have been others as well, I am not particularly impressed that our president lies incessantly and when caught doesn't even seem embarrassed because he knows his base will believe everything he says, scammed a lot of people in Trump University, cheats on his wife and bullies those he doesn't agree with, nor does he get into the details of the measures he is touting. Long term, it all has consequences. A person's character is a good indicator of their competence overall in judgment.
