1974 Chrysler New Yorker Armored details

Hi,
I am new here in forum,
I have at home (not mine, from Portuguese oficial Police) a Special Chrysler.
It was an 1974 New Yorker was issued for EUA embassy in Lisbon ,
After service was offered to Portuguese Police for they own security.
The car stopped for 25 years and now comes alive, they want to restore it for Police museum .
Please I need details such how many built , if any more exist , where was built and so one, can anybody help ?

Is there a Lehman/Ambruster build or body tag?

Very interesting car. Please keep us posted. Would like to see a shot of the dashboard (kilo speedometer, factory gauges?) Good luck with the restoration.
 
You mentioned "armored".....

What is armored on this car and can you show any detailed pictures of what is actually armored.

The roof looks pretty thick and what’s that extra handle looking thing on the back door?

If I get it right it was originally an American Embassy car, hence no metric Instrumentation. EUA for Estados Unidos da America.
 
I get the feeling that somebody didn’t think their presence was going to go over to well with the locals...
