So the Maverick gas station up by me started carrying pure gasoline. Would I be better off running this over using 92 octane? I'm assuming my 383 with 516 heads is running a lower CR and should be fine but wanted input;)

If you have access to pure gasoline (without ethanol), count yourself lucky, it's disappearing from the mid-Atlantic........

Yes it over 3 dollars a gallon but my car may run better, I figured I give it a go.

Big advantage to "Pure" gas is you won't get all of the nasty corrosion issues if you let the car sit over winter. Ethanol blends break down fairly quickly. I put the local variant "clear gas" in mine (92 octane) if I am not planning to drive one for a few months. If the car is a regular driver, usually corrosion from degraded fuel is not an issue, so run which ever your car seems to like.

If you can buy pure gas, take it! Out here the only option is ethanol blended gas at over $4.50/gallon (thanks to moonbeam).

I check that site from time to time thinking I might somehow get lucky on a whim but it always ends in disappointment.

Someday I'll learn to live with lower expectations.
I don't know how accurate that site is. There's a few stations around here that offer ethanol free premium gas that aren't listed.

Since I live in the Finger Lakes area, there's a demand for ethanol free gas for boats and a number of gas stations offer it.
