1972 Chrysler New Yorker 4dr Hardtop

Detroit Gem! Built at Chrysler's old Jefferson Assembly Plant.
Car was originally from Virginia, very little rust.
Paint is not perfect and there some dents here and there.
33,000 miles as of this ad being posted. Drove it to Boston and back with zero problems. Tires have good tread. Rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, new fuel sending unit, newer windshield (has a few chips, and small cracks) new top, and a new power window motor (which are still easily available).

-Engine: 100% Stock, 440 RB, w/Holley 4bbl
-Transmission: A727 Automatic
-Rear Axle: Open 8 3/4

What Works:
-Power Steering
-Power Disc Brakes
-Power Windows
-Power Locks
-All exterior lights, turn signals etc
-Speed, oil pressure light, fuel gauge, amp meter, cold/hot warning lights,
-Dash lights
-Factory Radio
-Heat/Defrost

What Doesn't Work:
-Clock
-Door Courtesy Lights
-A/C

Buy it, and drive it home!

Fun fact, the old Jefferson plant (Closed since early 90s) was the world's oldest auto plant and made 8,310,107 cars and trucks.

Also this is a nice car, but a huge dent in the left quarter.

I see that, but it's certainly not huge by any stretch.
The angle the picture was taken makes it appear smaller than it really is.
And if they didn't mention it in the ad, it makes me wonder what else they aren't saying.

Also look at the reflection in the rear passenger side door, it either is dented, or bondo.
And a dangerously redneck fixed sparkplug wire.

Known as “The Jeff” for years. My Monaco rolled out of there Wed. Nov. 25th 1964.

A few years later my 99 Grand Cherokee was built at the new Jeff or JNAP as it’s now called.

Is the Jeff still standing?

Any recent pictures?

Why is that even mentioned? To sound smart?? Means nothing. Everything was built somewhere.

I think the seller is trying to infuse some Detroit-cool for a local sale. Many of his photos are taken at Detroit landmarks.

Too bad JNAP (Jefferson's 1991-built replacement) is a virtual fortress surrounded by an earthen barrier to keep out the "locals", or he could have taken some shots there.

Since I was headed to workout when I wrote this, here's my gym key chain. Little tiny Grand Cherokee, built at JNAP, supplied with sheetmetal by WSP.
