Thought I would let you guys know about this shop. Go on FaceBook shops name. Real Steel Replacement. They reproduce sheet metal parts for 1953-1963 Chrysler Plymouth Dodge Desoto. Contact Ken 603 998 9983. Any sheet metal you need they either make it already or can reproduce it. Nice thing it's 18 gauge not that 2C2 20-22 gauge junk. I have been in contact with Ken about making my lower rear front fenders {Dog Legs} and inner rear fender support patches for my 62 880. I have some extra fenders I will be cutting apart to send to him to reproduce the patches. Some parts he already reproduces. He just hasn't done any of the 62 stuff yet. Any of you familiar with the 60-63 cars they trap moisture and dirt in the lower rear front fenders. And are always rusted out. Hope this helps and check him out or shoot him a call

Great info it sure is hard/impossible to find parts for a 62 880 2 door coupe
No doubt. Just scored a factory 2 coupe full quarter panel from a guy. Still has the mopar metal tag on it. Biggest problem with these cars is trunks and lower front fenders. But ken can make what you need. I spoke with him today about some stuff. He said what he dose is digitise the part and then he can go from there. I got a 4 door 880 with a pretty good trunk in it. I would like to remove it and get it to him to reproduce. He said even if the part is rusted bad if you can get it out intact he can make it.

Nice I had access to a 2dr Newport from cowl back no rust and the guy flaked on me
Where are you located
And are you building both cars

I have a 1/2 dollar size hole on drivers side rear quarter
But haven't found anything else yet
My problem is the hood hinges must have froze up and the previous owner forced the hood and bent it so it is a rusted mess so I need hood hinges and the trunk lid
It rusted behind the chrome so 90 percent of that lip is gone

Let me know if you need anything for them
My plan is a 440 with dual quads which I have and probably not going to put all the chrome back on it
Bunch of mechanical stuff
Probably most of drive train etc

Im in Tennessee close to Knoxville. No just the 2 door. Bought the 4 door for metal if needed. My 2 door is pretty solid. Except the trunk and a few spots on the rockers and of course the lower rear of the front fenders

Brin would you sell some of the small stuff off the car
As I start to take it apart I am finding out what I need
So far I need
2 inside door handles with bolts
4 window cranks
Speaker screen
Dash pad
Pass side rocker molding
Hood hinges hood
Trunk lid
Front grill emblem
Dash knobs
Ac lines and heater box that is in engine compartment
65-67 b body rear housing
I know you probably don't have it all but I figured I would put it out there

I also found out that the door panel skins peeled off and the backer boards look good.
Now to get them off in one piece

Talk with ken today definitely going to order my floor pans from him. Turns out we hung at the same street race place in
NYC back in the day

Heck I will give it to you what I have extras of or what Im not using. You just got to pay for the boxes and shipping. Is your car a 4 door. My 4 door parts car is just the shell. But I no where if it's still there. A 4 door car is for parts. I am fortunate to have a vintage junkyard by me. Got 62 4 door there. I know the guys well. Real fair on prices. If it's still there. Shoot me a call 423-921-4975 im on eastern time

Real Steel panels and C2C floor panels are both hand formed, basically flat panels with ribs put in with a bead roller and bends made on a sheet metal break. Workable panels, but not correct looking for those who want accuracy. Nobody makes actual stamped, OEM type panels for these cars unfortunately
